Namene 2024 Impact Report Launch
We’re proud to share our 2024 Impact Report highlighting the tangible difference our clean technologies are making in people’s lives and the planet we share.
Despite a year marked by climate disruption and economic strain, especially across the regions we serve, our impact only grew. In 2024, we reached an additional 2.3 million people with our solar-powered products, bringing our total impact to 9.5 million lives empowered by clean, safe, and affordable energy.

Namene’s 2024 Impact Report is here. Discover our impact.
Through our Gold Standard-certified carbon projects, we distributed 395,000 new solar lights across Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Lesotho—avoiding 136,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions in 2024 alone. That’s the equivalent of taking 30,000 cars off the road for a year.
These solar lights are more than a sustainable swap for candles or kerosene—they’re transforming daily life. From extending study hours for schoolchildren to powering homes and small businesses after dark, Namene products are helping families save money, improve health and safety, and unlock opportunity.
In a major milestone, we launched Zuba, our most robust solar light yet—designed with direct input from users and built to endure. It’s a reflection of our approach: listen to communities, innovate for impact, and deliver durable solutions that meet real-world needs.
Our carbon-financed model continues to prove both scalable and effective, even as affordability remains a key barrier to adoption. Through this model, we’re helping more families make the clean energy transition—while also enabling companies to meet climate goals through high-integrity carbon credits.
As we look to 2025, we remain focused on expanding our reach, growing partnerships, and deepening our climate impact. We know the road ahead will be challenging—but we also know that real progress is possible when technology, purpose, and people come together.
